Lucky were we to be given the opportunity to sponsor the print industry’s latest champion, Justus Magazine, for their second issue ‘To Letterpress With Love’. And how could we resist, with the entire journal lovingly dedicated to showcasing the dark art that is so dear to our hearts – letterpress. Watermarx Graphics has supported Justus Magazine since its debut last year, featuring a fully embossed and letterpressed advert in Issue 01 > An Ode To Foil, but we knew that we wanted to be involved more closely in this unique industry collaboration and jumped at the chance to be the primary embellishment sponsor. This unique publication is a showcase of the print graphic design industry in Australia and pays homage to the design community’s finest work, as well as the craftspeople in the printing industry who keep the standard and quality of the printed work produced, high.
It was an exciting chance for us to utilise the CLIQX technology to its full potential (which made a time sensitive project much easier to manage that it would have been otherwise!) We embossed the outer cover on the lovely Stephen stock using CLIQX and letterpress printed the inner cover on beer matt board with orange fluro ink for wow-factor. We embossed, debossed and letterpressed 11 pages throughout the magazine and the result is just wonderful.
